チャンク毎の意味
「わからない部分があっても、そのまま英文を読み進めて大丈夫です。むしろその方が、「英語を英語のまま理解する力」が早く育つこともあります。
「それではまだほとんど意味がわからない」、「どうしても意味のわからない箇所が気になる」という場合は、英文をチャンク（小さな意味のかたまり）に区切って理解すると全体の意味がラクに掴めるようになります。
ただし、この時に「日本語の語順に直すことなく、英語の語順のままで意味を理解する」ようにしてください。これが英語をモノにする鍵となります。
なお、チャンク文や和訳は「必ず読むもの」ではありません。細かい分析がストレスになるようでしたら、無理に読まず、英文だけを楽しんでください。
つまり、英文以外を「読む」か「読まない」かは、あなたがより心地よく感じる方を自由に選べば良いのです。

Right after the endoscopy,
I was taken to the CT room
for a contrast-enhanced scan.
→ 内視鏡検査の直後、造影剤を使ったCT検査のためにCT室に連れて行かれました。

to the inside of my elbow.
→ 点滴は右手の甲に入っていたのですが、彼女はそれを肘の内側に移しました。
- It had been placed = それは置かれていた（過去完了・受動態：had been + 過去分詞）
- on the back of my right hand = 右手の甲に
- she moved it = 彼女はそれを移動させた（move = 動かす）
- to the inside of my elbow = 肘の内側へ（inside of ～ = ～の内側）

that this would allow the contrast dye to be injected more quickly —
not in a larger total amount,
but at a faster rate per second.
→ 彼女は、これにより造影剤をより速い速度で注入できるようになると説明しました。総量は増やさず、1秒あたりの注入速度を上げるのです。
- She explained that ～ = ～と彼女は説明した（explain that節）
- this would allow ～ = これによって～が可能になる（would allow = ～できるようにする仮定表現）
- the contrast dye to be injected = 造影剤を注入されること（to be injected = 注入される、受け身の不定詞）

- related to the nausea = 吐き気と関係している（related to ～ = ～と関係がある）

→ つまり「大きくされた＝腫れた（状態）」 - which raised concerns = それが懸念を引き起こした
関係代名詞 which は直前の文全体（両方の卵巣が腫れていたこと）を指す
“raise concerns” は「懸念を引き起こす」 - about possible metastasis = 転移の可能性について
“possible” = 可能性のある、”metastasis” = 転移（特に癌の転移を指す医学用語）

and both of my kidneys had hydronephrosis,
meaning they were swollen with fluid.
→ 両方の尿管の周囲にも同様の病変があり、両方の腎臓が水腎症になっていました。つまり、腎臓が液体で腫れていたのです。

- similar lesions = 似たような病変（similar = 類似の）
